Concerned About the Teachings of the Church

It's been awhile since I last wrote in this blog mainly because I have been very disturbed by the way the church has been conducting itself. And I don't mean any special religious group but the entire religious sector irregardless of the denomination. This will probably sound more like a rant than a thought but so be it. I was taught if I had nothing nice to say it was better to say nothing and so I have taken that advise until now. Sometimes you just need to vent and I can not remain quiet any longer.

You would think people never read their Bibles because it is all in there, word for word, what will come. We should know better than to participate in these practices and accept them as "normal." Yet we follow blindly accepting the blasphemy that is taught today in the name of tolerance and love.

God is the same today as he will be tomorrow and the same as he has been in the past. His sense of right and wrong has never wavered nor changed. What was considered an abomination then is still an abomination today in God's eyes. So why do we think that we know better than God what is acceptable to him and what is not? Are we really that arrogant? Or do we have or own motives that include funding the church? Are we to serve mammon or God?

Sometimes I think that Biblical history is a useless subject because although history is known to repeat itself, everyone thinks we have evolved beyond what has happened in the past and it cannot possibly happen again, much less, to any of us. Well guess what, the wolf is now leading the sheep and so my question is where is the shepherd? Have we degraded ourselves so badly in his eyes that he has turned his face from us? I fear this is so!

Knowing all of this, yet as humans, we continue to put our sense of right and wrong above God's. People have tried to establish a one world government since the time of Babylon. We conveniently forget that the attempt was thwarted by God and the result was a confusion of the language and the destruction of the Tower of Babel. Other cities God destroyed for the abominations committed there were Sodom and Gomorrah, another lesson forgotten.

Throughout history, time after time, we have fallen from grace and sinned against our Father. When will we learn to listen and keep his commands? I wonder how much longer he will remain patient with us before he lashes out in anger.

I find myself praying Psalm 51 daily, the Prayer for Repentance. I hope by sharing this that it will make people stop for a minute and think for themselves. There is only one church that pleased God at the end according to Revelation, the Church of Philadelphia. It's time to evaluate your church and decide if it measures up. Do not follow your church leaders blindly into the abyss.

Where is this mysterious Church of Philadelphia? If you do a Google search there are many Church of Philadelphia's listed but I can't say as I have found any of them to be "THE Church of Philadelphia" as explained in Revelation. If you do find her please let me know where she is for she is the only church that the Lord says he will keep from the times of trouble, the tribulations.

More likely, perhaps the Church of Philadelphia is not a "church" as we generally think of one but rather a body of true Christians who hold tight to the literal teachings in the Bible and live by them despite what the rest of the world does. No matter the pressure or outrage from the outside secular world they answer to a higher authority and continue to do as God commands, not man.

We could all benefit from following the Church of Philadelphia's example by keeping the Lord's commands and bearing witness to God's word. For the Lord keeps the door open for them that no one else can open or shut, they have kept his word and have never denied him. He knows their works and encourages them to persevere in faith till the end when they will claim their crowns. I truly wish that for all my Christian friends. Thanks for hearing me out. May God Bless.
